What is IoT? (Internet of Things)

The Internet of Things, or IoT, refers to the various physical devices around the world which are now connected to the internet, collecting and sharing data for further analysis.

Any physical device which can be transformed into an IoT device if it can be connected to the internet and controlled. 

Some examples for IoT enabled devices are Wireless Light Bulb which can be switched on using smartphone app, a Motion Detector which controls the security in your office and warns you on your mobile device. Even your car can be enabled with a GPS Locator connected to internet which can keep track of your car location. ​

With upcoming technology in IoT and devices used for converting physical devices to smart devices like you can control your AC, Washing Machine, Dishwasher, Home Lights, Driver less Cars to be controlled from your mobile device.
